Getting Fit - The Essentials

Whether you are a recreational athlete training for your first half marathon, or a seasoned ironman, it is essential that you get bang for your buck when you are training. The last thing you want to hear is that the hours you are spending on the road are being wasted due to a couple of simple mistakes (the sand dune syndrome), or that by making a few simple changes to the way that you eat, the same amount of time spent training could get you much fitter, much faster (the race car theory).
